2.20.2 Mission Planning Table 1b, Weather/Weather Forecast: Use this table for weather at Take-off and Landing (see 2.30.0) and for weather forecast over the target (see 2.31.0 & 8.6 Aim Point Check). There are six different weather conditions from Very Good to Very Bad:
2.31.0 Weather Conditions over the Target: Roll again on MP-1b for weather forecast over the Target.
2.31.1 The forecast is used as a base on Target Zone Table 1 (see 8.2 Weather
Conditions). Roll 2D6 and check the value for the forecast. The result is the Actual Weather Condition over the Target. The weather may have improved or gotten worse since you took off. The Actual Weather Condition will affect your chance of encountering fighters, finding the Aim Point, and Flak if the target does not have Flak Radar.
2.31.2 Note g) on MP-1b states that the weather forecast is poor over the target. Poor condition will be the base you use when you reach the Target Zone and roll on Target Zone Table 1 (see Table TZ-1, Weather Conditions & 8.2 Weather Conditions.) You will also find a reference to Pathfinders. Pathfinders and Night Missions is an add-on module which will be available at a later date. If you would like to have a Secondary Target assigned, see Part 3 – Advanced 8.12.0.
